Scarf of Many Colours

The scarf measures approx. 180cm by 11cm wide. I made it by making 125 chains then just treble-crocheting back and forth for 7 rows. I used the leftover yarn to make the fringe. If I was making it again, I think I would make it slightly longer and narrower.

  1. Would you be able to indicate what size hook you used for this? Also, when you turned the rows did you have to do anything special? I am just getting reacquainted with crochet after a very long time a I am mostly a knitter now. Love the look of this scarf. Very stylish :)

  2. Thanks Barbara. I used a 9mm hook. I just made two turning chains at the end of each row – it meant there was a bit of a gap but this made threading the fringe through easy. Also, I should point out, I use British crochet terms – so, if you’re American, when I say treble crochet, read double crochet.
